Too Many Suits

There are WAY too many frivolous and malicious lawsuits filed by malcontents.

Too many of these are accepted and scheduled in courtrooms with undue respect, without good judgment, by clerks and judges.

One of the obvious requirements for a judge is evidence of good judgment.  If he/she cannot or will not throw out worthless cases, either their judgment is poor, there is a hidden agenda or both.

If we got rid of some of the bad judges and had a worse backlog for a while, it would be worth it.

And if we got rid of some bad judges and as a result the backlog vanished and crime dropped as criminals realized knew they would get harsh sentences, it would be doubly worth it.

Local judges are extremely important because they apply the law locally.  Since it is impossible for every appealed case to be heard by a superior court, many times the local judge’s ruling will ultimately stand even if appealed.
